Postcards from the Camper: “He has Risen!”

Mar 31, 2024

It was a very, very stormy drive to the campground! I wondered, “Should I pull over and let this pass?” But I felt safe to continue as I drove 45 mph in blinding rain. Once here, I was reminded as I looked at the door to my camper, I am choosing to live by faith over fear! The choice to get this camper and live out a dream is a bit scary at times. But the reward is lovely.

At 3 pm on Friday, it is written that Jesus died on the cross. My friend, Beverly and I came to the picnic table with a “hot cross bun” and red wine. I don’t know there is a better time to “remember me.” And so we did. We thanked Jesus for his life and death, for the gift and grace to know him. For the love that saves us all.

Strips of linen

I am struck by the strips of linen. Each of the gospel writers tells off the strips of linen left behind. What might the significance be?

“Then I saw heaven opened, and there was a white horse! Its rider is called Faithful and True…he is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies of heaven, wearing fine linen, white and pure, were following on white horses…”Come, gather for the great supper of God.”

Revelation 19

One day, my friends. One day.

Until then, faith over fear.
